Ester Wiesnerova is an award-winning jazz singer from Slovakia who has been hailed by Jazzwise as “an exciting new voice in European jazz: an artist of rare imagination and formidable arranging skills” for her debut album Blue Journal, which has been considered for Grammy nominations.

Now based in New York, she got included into Forbes Magazine “30 Under 30” list of Slovak personalities to watch out for and has performed at festivals worldwide, sharing the stage with artists such as Lionel Richie and Luciana Souza.

Julian Moreen is a pianist, singer and producer from Germany who has in recent years grown his reputation as a unique artist in jazz and pop, whether with his own music or in collaborations with European and Asian artists. He performs across the globe and has appeared at renowned festivals, among them JazzOpen Festival in Germany and Taichung Jazz Festival in Taiwan, sharing the stage with artists such as Jorjia Smith, Suzanne Vega, Celeste and Anna Maria Jopek.

Ester Wiesnerova & Julian Moreen are a vocal-piano duo which evolved from exploring the songbook of jazz standards into a fruitful collective songwriting fellowship drawing from the American folk and jazz traditions with a distinct European touch.

For their upcoming album, EPHEMERAL CITIES, each song is written collaboratively, named after a city and inspired by its sounds and stories. Together, they explore the full expressive potential of their instruments trough deep interaction, improvisation and virtuosity.

Since meeting at Berklee College of Music, they have performed over 50 concerts across Europe and the U.S, including national Radio and TV appearances as intimate duo or energetic quartet.
