Words & Music by Julian Moreen
I wrote this song in my first year in America, as an instrumental composition inspired by the beautiful colors of New England's fall. Sometime later, I was sitting by the Charles River in Boston, the sun setting in the most spectacular way, sailing boats disappearing in a golden light. Suddenly I had this strong feeling of happiness and nostalgia simultaneously bursting in me, a feeling of homesickness and what Germans call "Fernweh", farsickness. So I wrote these lyrics, added them to my composition and the song felt complete.
This recording was produced live at the Goethe Institut Boston in fall 2017.
