Singer-songwriter, pianist and producer JULIAN MOREEN blends organic acoustic warmth with atmospheric electronic textures, drawing inspiration from folk, contemporary jazz and indie pop. Rooted in poetic storytelling, his music unfolds as a reflective yet hopeful journey—where lyrical melodies, world rhythms and improvisation create a sound that is both intimate and expansive.

Having spent his formative years in Basel and Boston before living and working in New York and Taipei, he draws on diverse cultural influences that shape his musical voice.

Praised for his passionate stage performances, described by Badische Zeitung as having “the energy of a midsummer storm,” he has toured extensively across Asia, performing at clubs, universities and festivals in Malaysia, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Thailand. At Taiwan’s Taichung Jazz Festival he performed to an audience of over 30,000, and at Germany’s JazzOpen Stuttgart he opened for Suzanne Vega, Jorja Smith and Celeste.

As a producer and collaborator, his work spans a wide range of genres, including recordings and tours with Slovak jazz vocalist Ester Wiesnerova, Taiwanese pop artists such as Mandark (Sweet John) and aDAN 薛詒丹, as well as original music for media and games.
