Julian Moreen Bio
Julian Moreen is a German pianist, singer, songwriter and producer in the fields of jazz, folk music and indie pop. Whether with his own projects or as collaborator with other artists, he has in recent years grown his reputation as an inspiring artist with a distinct musical voice. Characterised by a deep sense of lyricism, eclectic stylistic influences and sophisticated musical arrangements, his music has captivated audiences worldwide.
In 2018 - 2019, he led his band on two major tours in Asia (Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia) with a total of 36 shows at festivals, schools and clubs. After the subsequent halt of international live performances in 2020 - 2022, recent concert performance highlights include the opening act for Jorjia Smith, Suzanne Vega and Celeste at Jazz Open Festival in Stuttgart, Germany (7000 people) as well as an invitation to arrange his music for a nine-piece band performance on the mainstage at Taichung Jazz Festival in Taiwan (20k people).
A graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, he lived and worked for a while in New York and now spends most of his time between Taiwan and Europe.
Recent recording productions include the collaboration as songwriter, pianist and singer with Slovak singer Ester Wiesnerova for a duo album, session keyboard work for the first album of the Swiss jazz-rock project Cracks in the Shell, writing and production work for Taiwanese Indie pop artist MANDARK’s single release as well as work on his own soon-to-be-released debut album “The Mark”.
